I have no idea what criteria garageband uses to sort the tracks you upload to it. It isn't numerically or by date, that's for sure.

(Editor's note: garageband refers to where these songs were all originally hosted)

  1. This sounds good.

The intro is a little drawn out/stale. You might try playing with some filters. Maybe detune one of your oscillators by a couple cents so your patches don't sound so "perfect" (if that makes sense.)

Overall, I like the idea, and would listen to a longer version.

  2. Very cool. I love that buzzy, droney synth line, especially at the beginning. It actually reminded me a little bit of a slower version of Depeche Mode's "Ice Machine". Maybe you could add a bit of reverb to the synth buzz? I also like the piano. Overall, the track just has a nice, reflective quality that is calming. Are you thinking of adding lyrics or keeping it as an instrumental?

  3. Thanks for the comments, youz guyz! I have a vocal melody in mind, but I don't know if I'd ever put words to this one.

I quite agree with doing something to the intro, roughing it up to some degree. Maybe adding quiet static to the background? That's something I'd like to try before too long in some of these tunes. This was a track where I should've tried doing something new: throw in some samples, noise, etc.
